My name is Anita Blake, but vampires know me by a different name.....The Executioner. My mother gave me her black hair and brown eyes, my father gave me my pale skin...but my attitude, now that's all my own.
I've learned to look into another's eyes and not care if they die or not....usually by my hand. It's not that I like killing, it's that I do what needs to be done and I can still sleep at night. Currently, that sleeping takes place between the two major men in my life, Micah and Nathaniel. My Nimir-Raj and my little homemaker/exotic dancer leopard....life just doesn't get any better than this, which leaves me highly confused at times. When I'm not with them, I'm usually with Jean-Claude the Master of the City and Asher, who are helping me deal with some of the newest aspects to my powers. Jean-Claude and I form 2/3 of a unbeatable triumvirate with Richard, my ex-boyfriend and the Olfric of the local werewolf pack. As you can see, my love life is the only thing more complicated than the city's supernatural politics.
what comes next? Only God knows....and He's not telling. At least not to me...
